Held during June 6th-10th of 2001, the 9th session attracted over 1,200 companies from 27 provinces, cities, and prefectures and 117 overseas companies from over 20 countries and regions. The general turnover of this session was 2,021 million US$, 2.07% higher than the previous session. The projects that introduced foreign investment amounted to 65 dealing with 13.82 million US$. The trade volume of import and export was 589 million US$. The contracted economic cooperative projects amounted to 158, Yunnan took 156 of them dealing with 5430 million RMB and contracted introduced investments amounted to 2580 million RMB. Guangxi Province introduced over 14 million RMB and Sichuan Province introduced 5940 million RMB.
